Meet our core team members and learn about their roles, experience, and expertise. Each one of us brings unique skills and perspectives to the table, making us a dynamic and diverse group. From engineers to account managers, we are committed to providing the best possible experience for our customers. We’re excited to introduce ourselves to you, and look forward to helping you with all your evacuation needs.

Mike

Mike is the founder of Evacu8. He started the business in March 2005 and has watched it grow from strength to strength since then. As the company’s Director, his role changes daily to suit the needs of the business.

You are likely to meet Mike when he is on site carrying out training sessions, servicing your evacuation equipment, or assessing your requirements. His favourite part of his job is being hands-on with customers and getting to work with them daily.

Mike has worked in the industry since 2005. During this time, he’s worked alongside some of the biggest evacuation businesses and medical companies, providing safe and suitable evacuation products. He has a vast amount of experience working with different brands and enjoys being able to collaborate and work together with his customers on all the various jobs he does.

When he’s not working, Mike loves to watch MotoGP and get outside as much as he can. On a sunny day, you can find him going out on his motorbikes with his friends or pottering in his garden.

If Mike was a superhero, his power would be Telekinesis – so he never has to get up and make a round of coffee by hand again!

Daisy

Initially, Daisy joined on as a business partner to her father Mike, who had been working as a subcontractor to manufacturers and service providers. She started off predominantly working on site as a training and service engineer, where she got to learn a lot about the industry. That was back in September 2015 – since then, she has taken on a more active role in the office. Daisy is constantly changing her hat to fit the needs of the business.

Daisy is always at the end of the phone, ready to help new or existing customers with their queries. You might get to meet her in person during an initial assessment for your workplace requirements, or on one of the many training sessions she carries out with delegates.

Prior to Evacu8, Daisy spent 4 years working for an experiential marketing company where she completed a Business Administration apprenticeship. She hasn’t stopped learning since – achieving a Level 3 Fire Safety and a Level 1 Health & Safety NEBOSH qualification. Next, she hopes to increase her knowledge even further by undertaking her diploma in Fire Safety.

Daisy is an ex-bookworm and is aiming to get back into reading in her spare time throughout 2023. On her days off, Daisy also loves going for walks and picnics with her husband and their Sprocker Spaniel, Rolo (If you’ve ever visited our offices before, you may have already met Rolo). A member of her local parish council, Daisy takes pride in the village she lives in and actively plans local community events – from the Christmas grotto to the Big Summer Fest. She loves a themed event!

Daisy’s chosen superpower would be photographic memory. That way, she wouldn’t have to keep going back through her thousands of sticky notes and diaries to find what she needs.

Adam

The newest member of the Evacu8 family, Adam joined as a Training Engineer in August 2022.

You might bump into Adam when he comes to carry out a training session or service your evacuation equipment.

Adam comes from a 10-year background of training in logistics. He is trained in IOSH Managing Safely, Manual Handling, and LOLER.

On the weekends, Adam is a keen outdoorsman. He loves playing a relaxing game of golf or trekking and exploring the wilderness.

Adam’s chosen superpower would be teleportation, so he could see the world for free!

Charlotte

Charlotte joined the Evacu8 family as our Account Manager in October 2019.

As the first port of call for our clients, you may have spoken to her already. Any time you book in for evacuation equipment servicing, training, or demonstrations, Charlotte’s on the other end of the line.

Before starting her job here, Charlotte had a varied career background. She grew up and worked on a farm. She has also worked in other fields, such as childcare and customer service.

Outside of work, Charlotte is a mum of one. She spends most of her time taking her son to his various hobbies.

If Charlotte could have any superpower, she would choose speed – so she can get things done quicker in the day. This would give her more time to spend with her family and friends.

Josh

Josh joined the team as a Training Engineer in September 2021.

You can find him at service intervals, repairs, building assessments, equipment demonstrations, training sessions and at trade shows/forums.

Prior to joining Evacu8, Josh worked in facilities and estate management for 9 years. During this time, his job roles ranged from Health & Safety to Head of Facilities. These years of experience allowed him to gain a sizeable knowledge of the practicalities and legislation surrounding fire protection and evacuation.

Josh has worked with and trained other staff in the safe operation and use of multiple types of evacuation equipment, having been trained himself by Evacu8 in 2014.

His favourite hobbies include fixing and restoration of pretty much anything with an engine, motorsports, DIY and helping out on the family farm.

If Josh was a superhero, he would want his power to be Teleportation. This would allow him to see and do many things in a small amount of time – plus, no more traffic!

Mitchell

Mitchell has been working at Evacu8 since January 2018. He’s our Service Engineer – and Head Barista!

His job is predominately field based, so you might meet him when he’s signing in and out of buildings. You may also come across him while he’s being chaperoned on secure sites or carrying out inductions.

Previously, Mitchell worked as a JCB service technician. He also has a Level 3 extended diploma in Land Based Engineering.

In his spare time, he loves taking his dog out for long walks in the countryside. On Mitchell’s days off, he also helps out on his family farm. Mostly fixing all the machinery his siblings and family have broken!

If Mitchell had a superpower, he would choose being able to fly. This way, he would never get lost on new roads – or get stuck in traffic on the M1 on his way to work.
