While most people’s commute involves the same route twice a day, our engineers rack up serious mileage crisscrossing the UK. Last week one of our field engineers, Mitchell, travelled an impressive 830 miles visiting our clients across the country.
Mitchell’s stats from this week:
53
evacuation chairs serviced
4
LOLER inspections completed
10
pieces of equipment repaired
9
shiny new evacuation chairs delivered to their new homes
Quality, not speed
We don’t treat maintenance like a conveyor belt. Each chair gets the full amount of attention it requires, and our engineers have the time they need to do the job properly. Planned preventative maintenance should never be rushed.
Did you know our team are certified LOLER engineers? We can carry out fully accredited inspections on your powered evacuation chairs. It’s our job to help you stay compliant with HSE regulations and ensure that your equipment performs when it matters most.
Adapting to fit every site we visit
Mitchell’s week involved 2 site inductions as he moved between different buildings and sectors. From one day to the next he might be visiting a hospital with strict infection control protocols, a school with safeguarding requirements, or a corporate office with specific access procedures. Every day is different for him. At each location, he adapts to the unique safety rules of that environment.
For our engineers, variety keeps things interesting. From Victorian buildings with narrow staircases to modern complexes with multiple levels, each location presents its own challenges.
Mitchell’s other accomplishments this week:
Steps
53,695
that’s 46.5Km!
Flights of stairs climbed
68
and 57 descended!
and most importantly…
10
cups of coffee consumed!
What else do we do every week?
While evacuation chairs are our bread and butter, our services cover the full spectrum of evacuation needs. Beyond powered and manual chairs, our equipment range includes slide sheets, evacuation mattresses and slings. Everything you could possibly need to move people safely in an emergency.
For temporary requirements or one-off events, we also offer rental services. You can either handle the equipment yourself or have one of our trained operators on-site to manage everything.
Evacuation equipment training is another popular service of ours. We offer different levels of instruction: basic training for up to four people to get them comfortable with new equipment, or more comprehensive train-the-trainer programs where your staff learn to cascade knowledge throughout your organisation.
Comprehensive coverage across the country
No matter where you’re located in the UK, our team can reach you. Whether you need training, maintenance, or want to discuss expanding your evacuation capabilities, we’re here to help.
Our engineers are already on the road. They might even be heading your way! If there’s anything you need, give us a shout. We’ll make sure your evacuation equipment gets the five-star treatment it deserves.
